Care-Activated Learning
Family Forest School
Nature Playgroup

What is C.A.L.?
Children's learning is activated when they are nurtured by those who care.

Come immerse yourselves in the wonders of open-ended play in nature.
Learning is relational. Our C.A.L. interactive family playgroups are intentionally designed to foster connections between children, caregivers, and nature.

What about the weather?
There is no bad weather here when you have outdoor gear.
C.A.L. sessions are rain or shine...but not thunderstorms.
Sessions will be canceled if severe storms are predicted or the roads are impassible. If your session is canceled, we will transfer that credit to the next available C.A.L. session.

To prepare, please check out our gear suggestions about how to dress for the weather. Airie Forest School also has ways to keep warm and take breaks from the rain, snow, and cold.
Other FAQs
1. What happens if a session is canceled?
Your non-refundable payment will be held to reserve the next available session of your choice.
2. Do you have toileting facilities?
Yes.
3. What is family forest school?
We value the connection between school and home; we support the bond between family members. With these two ideas in mind, we want to invite members of our community to play together in nature. Our forest is good for everyone, no matter their age!
Please note: At least one caregiver (e.g., parent, guardian, or grandparent) must accompany the registered child/ren and be present on campus at all times.
