Our Community
How can you get involved?
Learning Labs
Each season, Airie Forest School will offer a learning lab to our families. A learning lab is a time for parents to come to Airie for a family enrichment seminar involving child development strategies, parenting tips, book club, or environmentally friendly skills. The topics will vary based on the interests of our community and from our Round Table (e.g., PTO). Some labs will be hands-on partnerships for the whole family!

Volunteer
As part of the children's diverse education, they will have the opportunity to learn from others. This means we are seeking community presenters and mystery readers.

Improvement or community projects will be announced as they occur.
Campouts
Enrolled families will periodically be invited to campouts at Land Between the Lakes. These campouts allow us to have fun, spend time together, connect, and build a solid foundation for healthy communication.
Round Tables
Parent engagement is a keystone to children's successful learning outcomes, social development, and overall well-being. When parents are actively involved, they can support and reinforce learning at home, collaborate with educators to address their child's needs and foster a strong, positive relationship between the home and school. This partnership helps children feel more supported and motivated and creates a more inclusive and effective educational environment.
As part of this, each enrolled family will be offered a place at our table to collaborate with Ms. Kylene on school improvement, Learning Labs, community outreach, and other important ideas for the community.
Special Days
Airie Forest School believes learning is best when continuous; therefore, we adhere to a balanced calendar. One benefit to this schedule is that we celebrate National holidays, local events, and cultural traditions year-round.

On some of these special days, school will be closed to observe, while others will be celebrated together in school. Programs, activities, and other special events will be announced as they fit our diverse community's current needs.

Some examples of celebrations are:
